Girly Grunge
I've always loved the look of a girly grunge outfit. Lately I have been OBSESSED with flannels, flannels around the waist, flannels as a shirt, flannels as a jacket... basically anything flannel. As sad as it is that summer is almost over we are entering one of my favorite season of clothing. I love wearing sweaters and jeans so fall isn't all that bad to me. A style icon for me is a fictional character, Lola, from LOL the 2012 movie. Miley Cyrus plays her and ever since I saw the movie I literally wanted to dress exactly like her and make my hair the same... well that didn't happen but I still love her style! I think the perfect way to achieve this style is to start with something girly, whether it be a cute Brandy Melville t shirt, heels, or even a sundress. Then you pick something edgy, throw a leather jacket on top of that sundress or tie a flannel around your tee, pair your heels with ripped jeans and an oversized sweater, add some jewelry or maybe some ankle boots. Here's some pictures of girly grunge and flannels of course:)

Miranda Kerr for H&M
Miranda Kerr opened a line for H&M. I personally love this collection. Everything seems to effortless and easy to wear. My favortie piece is the pink skirt on the left. It is pleated and looks like it flows very well but also seems durable. The black lace up shoes are also a favorite.
Also I loved the song that was played in the background of the commercial. It is "Heart of Glass" by Blondie. xoxo meg |
d' Orsay Flats
The d'Orsay shoe has become a popular shoe style. It is typically shaped like ballet flats but is missing a piece in the middle of the shoe, exposing part of your foot. I personally love these shoes because I am relatively tall and prefer wearing flats over high high heels. Also to me their name sound so sophisticated and fancy. These types of shoes can be found at varying price ranges because it depends on the company making the shoe. One of my favorite examples of this shoe is made by Tory Burch. It is color blocked and has a pointed toe.

Elie Saab!
Elie Saab. So for my first post I thought I would do Elie Saab. I love all of Saab's gowns. To me they look magical. They have delicate beading or lace or tulle. They are sheer perfection. This picture is from backstage of a fashion show in Paris for Elie Saab. The dresses are a perfect balance between vintage/girly and daring. Almost all of the gowns or dresses have a sheer, lace , a plunging neckline, or low back. I feel as though I could look at these gowns for hours, they are art. enjoy!
